About the Speaker: Raised in Santa Clarita Valley and a Hart High School grad, Tom has just returned after completing his undergraduate studies and starting a business out of a dorm room. Makesmith Tech designs and manufactures desktop CNC machines (think 3-D printers) and brought the cheapest one to market via a successful Kickstarter campaign last May of 2014. His presentation aims to inform people how to realistically prepare and launch a Kickstarter campaign and to demonstrate that it doesn’t have to be Hollywood-quality production to be noticed!
