“Made in SCV”: A new series about local Startup success stories (April 23, 2013)

Over the past year and a half we’ve hosted some great names in Tech (and some day soon you’ll be able to view those events on our website…hopefully soon 🙂 Now it’s time to shift gears and hear from our local scene. These are companies that have had success and they’re right here.

It’s a new series to showcase and learn from local Startup success. Did you realize how much local success we’ve had? As we continue to build out our Startup Community it’s important to showcase our local rock stars. The first one in the series is (drumroll…) Ebyline. It’ll be a great one, you won’t want to miss it. Here’s Bill:

Hi, my name is Bill Momary. I founded Ebyline in my garage in 2009. It was just an idea then. Now after successfully raising $6.5M we work with over 500 publishers and process over 350,000 projects through our system each year. Our customer list includes Intel, Dun & Bradstreet and the LA Times.

I’m coming to SCV Startup to share my story; raw and uncensored. No punches pulled, I’ll tell you how it really happened so get ready. We’ll discuss, among other things, the four main areas of focus that are essential to turning that good idea you have into a real business. I’ll also share some of the challenges you’re going to run into (walls) and how to overcome them (jump over them or crash through them). So if you’re serious about turning YOUR Startup into a SUCCESSFUL Startup, be there. I’m happy to share what I’ve learned (good, bad, and ugly) over the last 4 years.

I look forward to meeting everyone and having a good time!

Refreshments: Frosty beverages will be served.
